Students have shared their experiences and insights about outdoor learning at Clearview:

  • "I felt more connected to the plants and I felt better and more at home because I like planting and my mom liked to too." -Risab
  • "I felt good after planting these plants because I’m helping stop erosion, which is a project I’m researching for my government essay." -Mary
  • "I felt that I was helping the Earth step by step and I felt happy to be helping to prevent erosion." -Juliette

Recently, our fourth graders had the chance to participate in Fairfax County Stormwater Management’s “Revitalize, Restore, Replant” program. Working alongside ecologists, they transformed an eroding hillside into a beautiful native garden by planting 375 native plants. This hands-on experience not only complemented their classroom learning but also instilled a sense of environmental stewardship.

Clearview Elementary is more than a school—it's a community where young minds are nurtured and spirits are uplifted. Together, we learn, grow, and make an impact. We are proud to foster an environment where every student feels valued and excited to grow together!
