Rachel Charlton
Ms. Rachel Charlton was born and raised in Edison, New Jersey. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from James Madison University and a Master’s Degree in Education from George Mason University. Prior to beginning her teaching career, Rachel spent the summer in Costa Rica where she was fortunate to participate in a language and cultural immersion program. (She repeated this experience two years later.) Rachel has a passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion and is thrilled to be part of the Clearview ES family. It brings Rachel great joy to work with students, staff, and families in the elementary school setting. Rachel taught kindergarten, first grade, and fifth grade and served as an Advanced Academics resource teacher before becoming an assistant principal. Rachel and her 9 year old son, Aubrey, live in Reston with their two cats, Luke and Vader. She enjoys visiting friends, and family near and far and spending time outdoors. Rachel is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Special Education at George Mason University. This is Rachel’s 21st year with Fairfax County Public Schools.
